The planned attention areas will be:
- Get the engine running properly - at the moment the pick up is not great and I gather the camshaft is a high wear almost service item...standard new camshaft\lifters will be fine.
- Change the mechanical distributor for Megajolt- in the SS1 the distributor is tucked away under the windscreen and a bit of a pain to get to..
- Change brake pads and maybe discs
- Inspect the suspension components
Once those have been attended to it will form a good base to start from and i suspect will make a marked improvement... i will record 30-50 mph figures in third to gauge acceleration improvements.. and 50-0 mph for braking.
Top speed and 0-60 mph are not a priority and having had a Kawasaki ZX636r ...irrelevant!
